The World Bank (WB) recently launched public consultations to update its online platform– the Systematic Country Diagnostic (SCD), in Sri Lanka.
This platform makes it possible for the WB to engage in a dialogue with the public, seeking their opinion on development opportunities and challenges faced by the country.
“The systematic Country Diagnostic is a comprehensive assessment of constraints and drivers of progress aimed at ending poverty and boosting shared prosperity.” -World Bank
The WB expressed their willingness to include various stakeholders including the government, private sector, think tank and individuals from different provinces.
Online surveys will be made available from May 7-May 20, 2021, in all three languages and will be followed by focus-group discussions involving individuals from the public and private sector.The findings recorded will be made available in the next update of the SCD.
