A vaccine inoculation drive was conducted, by the Sri Lanka navy together with the Medical Officer of Health (MOH), on May 15, in the Katunayake Export Processing Zone (EPZ).
The operation of EPZ is essential for the survival of the SL economy.
A team of naval medical personnel administered 500 jabs of the Covid-19 Sinopharm vaccine to officials of the Board of Investment (BOI). Employees of 05 factories in the Katunayake area also received the jab.
The Navy plans to carry out another vaccination drive in the upcoming week, along with the MOH. This will include about 48 factories in the Katunayake EPZ.
