A program titled “Jayagamu Sri Lanka”, was held under the patronage of Minister Namal Rajapaksa at the Temple Trees, recently. The program was aimed at promoting entrepreneurial development.
The program will be held annually and is expected to generate upto one million new entrepreneurs, within the first five years of inception.Plans are underway to organize
market processing mechanism to purchase the products of the entrepreneurs.
Furthermore, the program will also help generate one million jobs; thereby creating new employment opportunities for the citizens of Sri Lanka.
Several important officials, including State Ministers Kanchana Wijesekera and Shehan Semasinghe, Secretary of the Rural Development Presidential Task Force W.H Karunaratne, Secretary to the State Ministry of Samurdhi Neil Bandara and State Ministry officials were present at the event.
